In partnership with Mission Youth Philadelphia, 39 CEO members of the Young Presidents Organization (YPO) Philadelphia Chapter, ESF Camps & Experiences CEO and Co-Founder, Michael Rouse and the ESF Dream Camp Foundation Team traveled to North Philadelphia to share with others what is becoming one of the biggest humanitarian crises on the East Coast – the homeless population caused by the heroin drug epidemic and what ESF’s Dream Camp Foundation is doing to help the children who witness this crisis on a daily basis walking to school every day.

Ramon gives testimony to all in attendanceIt is so unfortunate to see how this once vibrant North Philadelphia neighborhood has become a danger zone, where shootings, stabbings, overdoses, suicides, armed robberies, sexual assaults, and homicides are all too common. This trip was a powerful reminder of the urgent need to take action and address this crisis.  There are over 200 children living within 8 blocks of this epidemic.  In 2022, we were fortunate to have 30 of these kids join Dream Camp. We have made it our top priority to continue to lend a helping hand to a community in need and ensure the children in this community are provided with the opportunity to spend their Summer in a safe and fun environment.

Please consider supporting the ESF Dream Camp Foundation and offer the families of North Philadelphia a safe option for their children in the Summer by becoming a mentor or donating goods or funds to support tuition-free year-round scholarships.
