For many kids, summer isn’t summer without splash contests and cannonballs. Swimming is also a life-saving skill. But, swimming is a luxury most Dream Camp students do not have access to in their everyday life. Our swim program not only teaches kids how to swim but also focuses on developing essential soft skills such as embracing new challenges, overcoming fears, nurturing inner confidence, and fostering peer support, all within the enjoyable environment of the pool.

Did you know?

  • 79% of children in households with income less than $50,000 have little to no swimming ability1
  • Drowning is the second leading cause of death for children 14 and under in the US2
  • African American children drown 3x more often than any other demographic2
  • Formal swimming lessons reduce the likelihood of childhood drowning by 88%1
