Starting at the age of six, children are identified by teachers, social workers and guidance counselors as potential participants who could benefit from Dream Camp. Those children are then invited to take part in our award-winning program, with the option of staying in the program through college. Each year, the vast majority of Dream Campers choose to return.
Dream Camp instills values by focusing on the development of the whole child, academically, athletically and emotionally. We create opportunities for children and their families and strive to improve each child’s academic achievements within an atmosphere of positive growth and family support. And the results are astonishing. Dream Camp children are:
• Improving their math and reading skills
• Decreasing their behavioral infractions
• Developing their critical-thinking and decision-making abilities
• Learning to resolve conflicts effectively
• Exercising their leadership potential
